Definition of Sensor Input/output

Input to a sensor is changed in its surrounding local environment, whereas the output is the response (either in digital or analog form) by the sensor to the change in the environment conditions. In a more general sense - the input of the sensor is any physical quantity like temperature, pressure, etc. and output of the sensor is one kind of response or feedback of the input.
